The Duchess was later photographed battling with her feelings as the Queen’s coffin left the Abbey on its journey to its final resting place in a vault next to Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.
The claim sparked outrage on Twitter – with other users sharing photos of royals visibly crying.

The comment repeated Meghan’s confession in her interview with Prince Harry in Oprah Winfrey’s groundbreaking royal movie in March 2021.
“She was always really warm, inviting and really welcoming,” the Duchess said of the Queen at the time.
Meghan remembered one of her first engagements with the Queen after her marriage to Harry in 2018.

“We had breakfast together that morning and she gave me a lovely gift and I really loved being in her company,” she said.

Following Oprah’s interview, the late Queen released a moving statement expressing her sympathy for the plight of the young royal couple.
“The entire family is saddened to know the full extent of how difficult the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement read.

“There were a lot of pictures and explanations of the pictures and reading them in pictures that may or may not be correct,” he added.
There is a couple from Meghan, with a tear running down her face – apparently – and also one from Princess Charlotte who everyone said was crying, we don’t know if that’s true.
The Duchess of Sussex spoke fondly of the late Queen in her comprehensive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, recalling how warm and inviting the King had been for her.
