Sarah Jessica Parker, who was honored at the 10th Annual New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Awards Wednesday night, had to run out of the event at the last minute after what was billed as a family emergency.
A source who was present at the ceremony told Page Six that moments after the actress arrived at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, she left again.
We were told that in a tragic and strange moment, we announced from the stage that she had to withdraw from the event due to a “suddenly devastating family situation”.
Parker’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Sex and the City” actress, 57, is the vice chair of the New York City Board of Directors. She was also the brains behind Fall Fashion Gala, which was first celebrated in 2012.
Since then, the concert has raised more than $24 million for the ballet troupe.
